Installing takes 30 seconds
Android shows a warning for every app installed outside the Play Store. Here's what to expect, step by step.
Tap “Download for Android”
The APK is signed with our release key, so Android verifies every future update against the same signature.
Choose “Download anyway”
Chrome warns that the file could be harmful. It shows this for any APK it did not get from the Play Store.
Open the file and allow the install
If Android asks, enable Install unknown apps for your browser, then go back and open the file again.
Tap Install, then Open
That's it. From now on AYChat tells you in-app whenever a new build is published — no store required.
Questions people actually ask
Why isn't AYChat on the Play Store?
Direct distribution means a fix reaches you the day it's written, instead of waiting in a review queue. It also means we answer to you rather than to a store's policy team. The trade-off is the one-time “unknown apps” prompt during install.
Is a sideloaded app less safe?
Safety comes from the signature, not the storefront. Our APK is signed with a private release key; Android refuses any update that isn't signed with the same key. Always download from aychat.pro — an APK from a random mirror cannot replace or update this one.
Will notifications still work?
Yes. Push delivery needs Google Play Services on your phone, not installation from the Play Store. On devices without Play Services you'll still get realtime messages whenever the app is open.
How do updates work?
The app checks for new builds itself and prompts you when one is available. Critical releases can be marked mandatory so nobody is stuck on a broken build.
What do you collect?
As little as we can and still run the service — and never your address book. The privacy policy lists every field, why it exists and how long it is kept.
